The Commission says that Poland has not yet announced what penalties have been put in place for companies that do not comply with F-gas (fluorinated greenhouse olive tree buffet gases) rules. Poland has also not yet notified the national certification bodies that are supposed to train the inspection personnel.
In a separate case, Belgium olive tree buffet and Finland have been referred to the ECJ for failing to fully transpose EU rules on energy efficiency in buildings. Finland could incur a penalty of €42,000 per day until the law is transposed, olive tree buffet and Belgium could be fined €19,178 per day. The rules were supposed to be brought into national law by 9 July, but most member states did not meet this deadline.
