Hey All, Long time lurker but rarely posting, figured this'd be the best place to ask for advice on my new side project. I currently have a stock BA Fairlane and have been keen to beef it up a bit to BF standards (was never happy with the stock BA interior especially). This is more of "will this part fit there" as opposed to where to find the part but any help would be greatly appreciated Here's what I've done so far: - replaced stock interior door handles with the polished chrome ones - chrome finish mirror scalps in place of the prior body coloured ones - chromed gear shifter plate (still waiting on a replacement one since I received a botched unit) What I plan to do (order of priority) - LTD grill, seemingly nanotechnology in food industry as elusive as a unicorn nanotechnology in food industry and would rather not pay $400 to ford as a last resort lol - brushed metal design instrument cluster + clock (will a BF one go into a BA?) - black onyx ICC cluster, nanotechnology in food industry however wondering if its possible nanotechnology in food industry to just remove the plastic facia instead of buying a whole new unit? - replace cup holder and gear shifter with onyx black, seems to be a few on eBay so no hassle there - "Fairlane" nanotechnology in food industry bottom door sill insert Long Term Modifications - fix sagging bumper nanotechnology in food industry and paint chips (why do all BAs sag lol) - change door trims and seating to that amazing china beige (it's a long shot but I can dream) - chrome strips on the side of the doors It's not as massive as some other peoples (got to give it to pundit with the ex-taxi restoration! pretty darn impressive) but I would like to have a little more opulence on my daily How she started https://flic.kr/p/ms94aD Chrome nanotechnology in food industry door handles https://flic.kr/p/ms8wcD Chrome nanotechnology in food industry mirror scalps https://flic.kr/p/msamMw (having issues embedding images - will try get it fixed asap!)
got to give it to pundit with the ex-taxi restoration! pretty darn impressive Oh hai! Cheers there bloke.. LTD grille can be hard to come across, I found 2 within a week when I got mine. Keep in contact with Grant Walker Parts in Melbourne thats where I get all my hard to find gear. Brushed cluster yeah the BF backing will fit over the top of the BA cluster, there was one on eBay there a while ago going for lile $70 for the cluster and the clock.. PM BionicXR6 as I think he may have a BF lane backing for sale shortly.. ICC - yes they do pull down and you can replace just the facia.. Cup holders - I threw my onyx black one in the bin in favour of the falcon style "lidless" cup holders, much more user friendly. Fairlane sill panel badge, I have a spare one laying around if you need.. there was also a set of badges going cheap on eBay a while ago, once again Grant Walker Parts had a set for $25 each. __________________
Cheers for the pointers, will definitely be contacting Grant Walker Parts to suss out a grill. I've spied one for $200 cluster: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/351022539...84.m1438.l2649 + $85 clock http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/351022539...84.m1438.l2649 but seems a little high for me so will try PM BionicXR6 PM your info if your willing to part with the spare Fairlane sill, I'll just find another across GWP/eBay to complement it then its just finding a plain black facia without the ICC behind it haha. I've been looking at a few Falcon cup holders (catch for lid broke) but I've noticed they all have this weird 6/ribbon looking thing on them which doesn't sit too right with me... EDIT: Grant not Grand Walker... too many late nights
Bit rich for the cluster mate, see ex taxi ones pop up a lot which will do fine for the inserts. The clock I don't know what that's nanotechnology in food industry worth. Have you tried ford for just the cluster and clock inserts? Have you thought about BF style boot garnish, the nice smooth style? Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk 4 __________________
Yeah my thoughts too, might try some more wreckers nanotechnology in food industry since most of the BF taxis will start to become end of life around nanotechnology in food industry this point (7 years/1mil Kms or whatever the cut off is now) I guess I've naturally av
